Steadfast Love and Faithfulness

Hello to all of you! :)

(I’m going to see if I can post a Bible verse every day for at least a week…maybe through Lent? But let’s just take it one day at a time.)

Nothing like starting the day off right with a Bible open in front of you, a journal beside you, and a pretty pen in your hand. Mmmhh! Who said that Mondays HAVE to be bad?! Or that grey could days have to be completely dreary and wearisome. Because it’s not true! There’s a God loving and kind and He’s sent his very OWN SON to save us. To give us joy. To give us peace. To help us. To encourage us. To uphold and strengthen us. He turns our mourning into gladness and our weeping into shouts of joy!

Here are the Bible verses for today.

I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD forever,

with my mouth I will make known

Your faithfulness to all generations.

For I said, “Steadfast love will be built up forever,

In the heavens you will establish your faithfulness.”….

Righteousness and justice are the

foundation of your throne;

steadfast love and faithfulness go

before you.

Blessed are the people who know the

festal shout,

who walk, O LORD, in the light of your

who exult in your name all the day

and in your righteousness are exalted.

For you are the glory of their strength;

by your favor our horn is exalted…

(Psalm 89: 1-2, 14-17)

I love the imagery of righteousness and justice being foundations for a throne and steadfast love and faithfulness going before before Him like His royal assembly or something. It just sounds so rich, grand, and beautiful.

Delighting in His Steadfast Love and Faithfulness,
